Your adventure begins with a short walk along the dock to the kayak center, where you'll check-in, have a safety briefing, and receive your kayak gear. Slip into your two person kayak and set out on the waters of Port Frederick and Icy Strait. Kayaking is one of the best ways to enjoy the serenity and beauty of this unique area. During your paddle you may see Humpback Whales, Orcas, Seal, Sea-Lions, and other marine wildlife in their natural pristine environment. Keep your eyes on the trees for Eagles who live near and survive around these same waters. Your guides will introduce you to the Native culture, the Tlingits, and the village of Hoonah. Bring your sense of adventure and wear warm layered clothing and shoes to keep your feet dry
Participants must be at least 10 years old, between 50 and 275 pounds, not more than 78-inches tall and comfortable in and around the water. Participants must be prepared to sit upright and paddle a kayak for up to 2 hours. Conditions are generally calm however conditions may change and calm water is not guaranteed.
